There are cracked molding (bottom and top), hair fibers were on our lamp in the room, chair was run down and even when the door was closed, there was a gap wide enough to see light through it. The room was spacious, but the hotel is definitely in need of work. Hotel entrance upon arrival was that one set of doors was blocked by tape and barriers (looked like construction). We stayed here as a quick getaway for Christmas for one night since we are empty nesters. My best assumption is they are trying to force the property to be closed as a tax write-off. The workers seem exhausted and under appreciated. Unfortunately, the view is the best thing about the place. At least then the customers wouldn't see how truly disgusting and lacking their cleaning and security measures currently are. They would probably retain more customers WITHOUT giving comp rooms. The real reason is the sheer neglect the property has succumbed to since becoming Bally's.
They still refuse to clean the room (for the first time I'm guessing) if a guest has checked in due to 'covid reasons'. But I will complain about the latch being open, which prevented the door from closing after housekeeping left new sheets for us. Or the dirty glasses or hair and trash on the floor. I won't complain about the suspected drop of blood on the sheets, or the leftover soap in the shower or the non-working refrigerator.
